The Wargrave Professional Networking Group (‘WPNG’) holds its next meeting on Monday 13th September at Hennerton Golf Club, Wargrave (http://www.hennertongolfclub.co.uk).

The Wargave Professional Networking Group (‘WPNG’) is now in its second year.

The only requirement to attend is that you are interested in encouraging and supporting businesses and business people living or working within a 5-mile radius of Wargrave by introducing new clients, identifying business opportunities and helping each other to develop their business or service.

All you need to do is sign in, hand out your business cards and ‘network’ with fellow attendees and stay as long as you like.

Light refreshments are provided free of charge but bar drinks do have to be purchased. 

We always welcome guests so please do invite a visitor to any of our meetings if they meet our 5-mile criteria.

We had another good evening of networking.  We were delighted to welcome some new people to the group.   Thanks to everyone who recommends the group to others- it really works.
Although we were a small group on the evening we managed to find out a lot about each person there and we had more chance to talk about our own business in more detail, which is always useful if you want to make a referral.
We decided that we would not meet in August so our next meeting will be Monday 13 September at Hennerton Golf Club.  Our thanks to Peter and Zara for letting us meet at the golf club-  it's a perfect place to meet and the views are stunning in the summer.
In terms of future activities we have the following provisional plan until the end of the year:

·        September-Peter’s walk round the course (weather permitting) this was promised when we had out golf lessons but we ran out of time!

·        October- Bob's talk about “Equity Release for the Elderly” in either October or September (depending on the weather at the September meeting)

·        November- Christmas gifts - last year we arranged for some members of the group to bring their products if they would make good Christmas presents.  More details to follow.

·        December- Our 2^nd birthday – there may even be a cake and some Christmas celebrations.

 Your suggestions are always welcome so just let us know if you have an idea for one of our meetings.

Last December the WPNG celebrated its first birthday. The photo shows the joint organisers and founders of the Group, Sue Ferguson and Bob Woodmansee, cutting the celebratory birthday cake which was expertly crafted and baked by Andy Jones at Really Nice Cakes.

And, unlike, some networking groups there is no charge or membership subscription to pay. Attendance is completely free.
