Some groups make networking all about generating leads, but the Wargrave Professional Networking Group ('WPNG') offers much more than this - you will become part of a local business community (some people call it their ‘virtual boardroom’!!) and gain access to business support and ideas – just by fairly regular attendances at our monthly meetings. The only requirement to attend is that you are interested in encouraging and supporting businesses and business people by introducing new clients, identifying business opportunities and helping each other to develop their business or service.

And, unlike, some networking groups there is no charge or membership subscription to pay – attendance is completely free!! New members are welcome and we’d love to see some new faces at one of our forthcoming meetings - details below.

The Group was launched in December 2008 and the total number of different attendees since the Group began is now almost 100 – with a regular attendance remaining fairly constant at 14/15 - showing that the WPNG is the probably the best forum for promoting your business locally.

The format of the WPNG meetings allows members to network informally at the start and at the end of each meeting – plus everyone has their own two-minute slot to tell all the other attendees about their business, recent experiences, problems, challenges or any interesting business related story. Most meetings also have a themed presentation on a topic of interest – in recent meetings these have included ‘Tax’, ‘Selling to Survive’, ‘Equity Release for the Elderly’, ‘Powers of Attorney & Wills’ and ‘CCTV’ – and, by way of variation, we've even had free golf tuition from the professionals at Hennerton!!

Please contact either of the WPNG's organisers - Sue Ferguson or Bob Woodmansee - for more details about the Group - but all you are required to do if you attend is sign in, hand out your business cards and ‘network’ with fellow attendees. Light refreshments are provided at a cost of £1 - but bar drinks do have to be purchased.
